AntiXSS

From CodePlex:

AntiXSS 3.0 helps you to protect your current applications from cross-site scripting attacks, at the same time helping you to protect your legacy application with its Security Runtime Engine. Working with customer and partner feedback, AntiXSS 3.0 incorporates radically and innovatively rethought features, offering you a newer, more powerful weapon against the often employed cross-site scripting (XSS) attack.

Drops Of Wisdom

Self satisfaction is a sure sign of lacking intellect. [Ali radi Allah anhu]

Drops Of Wisdom

Nice prayer of St. Francis of Assisi

Lord, make me an instrument of your peace, Where there is hatred, let me sow love; where there is injury, pardon; where there is doubt, faith; where there is despair, hope; where there is darkness, light; where there is sadness, joy; O Divine Master, grant that I may not so much seek to be consoled as to console; to be understood as to understand; to be loved as to love. For it is in giving that we receive; it is in pardoning that we are pardoned; and it is in dying that we are born to eternal life

ASP.NET MVC: Store Routes in the Database

Found just what I was looking for.

ASP.NET MVC: Store Routes in the Database

An Introduction to URL Routing : The Official Microsoft ASP.NET Site

I wish MS comes out with some better way of handling routes in MVC type applications. Adding all these to Global.asax.cs file is not just going to work for Intranet type applications where you have one application with several directories under it (each directory is actually another complete application of it's own as well). Defining routes in Global.asax and having the whole domain to reload for each new file is just not gong to work.

Has anyone come across another method of defining routes for MVC application?

MyGeneration and CodeSmith tools

Two great tools that I have been lately messing with.  I love the fact that how much these can make you productive by creating the Bussiness Object so quickly. Heck for myGeneration template I went even further to customize it so that it now even prints out HTML/ASPX tags for me depending on database column that I could further customize to suit the business needs.

Very tight stuff, worth checking out if you haven't already done so.

CodeSmith 2.6 (Which is freeware)

You can download .NETTiers templates for CodeSmith and even build out entire application.

Investing in stock market: the Shariah way

I am not sure about the authenticity of this article, but sounds pretty accurate on what and where a muslim could invest in.

Anyone want to spill out what "Halal" stocks would be good in today's Bear Market to invest in?

I just bought a couple of ETF's, some technology stocks, Gold, and a few mining stocks up in China.

Suggestions?
