There are quite a few people that I know who are using VS 2010 just because it is the latest IDE for primary development for .NET. Unfortunately, it is either that or the fact that they can compile their code in .NET 4.0. What about all the features and updates for languages that come with them? If you think there is too much that you will need to ramp up or don’t feel like you have much time to even update your skills, I would suggest you check out this Upgrading your C# Programming skills to be more effective developer session at the very least to be aware of what you can do to make your code a lot better.
